I'm a reliative. and want to to know where to go to Help a Young man go.His father is a sex abuser and no one else in the family will help him. He is 24 and still not lost but still needs help. he is over the legal age. He needs help and I would if nothing else provide help.. My kids are out there too.

You need to go to the local police. Make sure to get that guy out of there as soon as possible. Get him counseling, but don't push anything on him. If you do, he might get defensive and close up to you. If you're really good friends, this shouldn't be too much of a problem, but don't act like you understand, if you don't really know how victims of sex crimes act. I'm surprised he even told you. 99% of rape victims never report it because they're too ashamed. They feel like it's their fault. Sometimes, they feel weak because they couldn't defend themselves. That's all I can think of right now. You really need to talk to the local police. If your local police has an SVU (Special Victims Unit), then you need to talk to them.

if he is still living at home get him out of there as soon as possible-alert the authorities--police--and try to get him some counseling as soon as possible---you can support this young man by doing what you are doing--being loving and trying your best to help----
