If God just made everyone immortal and let everyone have fun with no rules, then there really wouldn't be such a thing as sin would there?

No, god created sin and did evil, and then repented (see Genesis). But Satan was always helping mankind out of the darkness. I mean Eve & Adam were naked and blind (and stupid like animals), and the serpent opened their eyes and showed them wisdom (come to think of it christ did the same).

God is a grudger.

Interesting question, (noodle scratch er) God made mankind immortal (we cannot die) both physically and spiritually. Sin comes in due to disobedience, the wages of sin is death (both physically and spiritually) He did not let everyone have fun with no rules because He gave Adam and Eve a "rule" to not eat the fruit of one tree.

To fully answer your question Paul addresses it in the book of Romans. An overview goes something along the lines of we are not under the law if we do not know about the law. (This gives cause to believe those who do not know sin, such as babies and some adults with disorders) Sin was not until the law was given (the law being the 10 commandments, but even before then the "Do not eat of this tree")

Sin is rejecting God. It's not about "rules and regulations." There were no "rules" in the beginning. Satan rejected God, period, because he wanted to be greater than God, therefore Satan sinned.

In the Garden of Eden, it wasn't necessarily the "eating of the fruit" that was the sin. Whether there was a tree or not is irrelavant. Adam and Eve would have been tempted either way. It was the prideful desire to be better than God that got them into trouble.

As for the Ten Commandments, they are "rules" to keep up from rejecting God. When we hurt eachother, we are rejecting God. They are a set of guidlines, if you will, to clarify what we should and should not do.

God did not create sin, He gave us free-will. His creations "created" sin.

If you want one possible answer...

God threw Satan out (this is all assuming that you believe god and satan or god and satan figures exist) and into hell and there Satan contemplated what he should do and he went out to cause sin. But all of this was God's plan from the beginning and he threw Satan out meaning for him to cause sin and stir stuff up on earth so that he could be entertained so Satan might have been the one to start sin but God is the true cause of it because he not only let Satan do it but "led" Satan to do it in the first place.

God's creation is good.
He does not create Satan, therefore no such thing exists. Evil is consequently non-existent.
Sin is man's action against the teachings of the One True God.
No man is created hungry. The embryo doesn't have to work to earn his living in the womb of his mother.
God already gives all physical pleasures without conditions to the animal. He particularly gives man the free will to earn the spiritual nourishment for his soul, which is etrnal life in heavenly bliss.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

No God did not create sin because of his rules.
Satan was created without sin just as the first man Adam.
Satan's sin is pride he wants to be God, he wants to be worshiped and revered just as the Almighty God is.

The guy's a character, because he thinks he's going to raise his throne above God's. He must be on drugs, (lol)

Satan is some kind of sick-o I tell ya.
Adam and Eve messed it up for the rest of mankind, the idiots listened to Mr. evil. and wham-o we're all made sinners.

Thats the whole point of creation.Worship of the one true God,in our religion Allah. This life is a test of that obedience just like you reward a good student and punish a bad one its like that. You follow His rules you become obedient and good in His eyes. You disobey like Satan and rebel and thats what you become an outcast in His kingdom. Its His right its His Universe He sets the rules and only He deserves worship and no one else.If anyone does not like His rules they still have to obey them otherwise He will take account on the day of judgement and even here.He has let us know His will through His messengers its for us to recognize them and obey them.Period.If you live in any country you follow its rules or else you are a criminal so it is in the Universe you live in His Universe you follow His rules,He defines the crime in His scriptures.

God did not create evil. Satan did.
Ezekiel 28:15 You were blameless in all you did from the day you were created until the day evil was found in you.
We have no right to question why God made rules. It is his creation and he gets to run it his way!

Because God gives us choice, there is the opportunity to choose to sin. That's what Adam and Eve did. Your question suggests that God should make people incapable of choosing wrongly. That would be little robot people, which was not God's purpose in creating us. He desires love and obedience by choice, not because we are not able to choose any differently.
