Instead they are teaching hate, fear , exclusion and the need to conform to strict orthodox views of religion and life ,
They are redefining what Jesus meant and are useing his name to advance their agenda and they alone represent Jesus Christ .
Didn't our Ancestorys come to the Americas from Europe because of restrictions on religions

You give a very distorted view of Jesus' teaching.

love - yes

compassion - yes

equality - yes

forgiveness - yes

tolerance - no: Jesus emphasized truth. The words true, truth... are used over 120 times in the Gospels. Mt 5:20 “Here is what I tell you. You must be more godly than the Pharisees and the teachers of the law. If you are not, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven."

peace - no: Matt 10:34 “Do not think that I came to bring peace to the earth. I didn’t come to bring peace. I came to bring a sword. 35 I have come to turn “‘sons against their fathers. Daughters will refuse to obey their mothers. Daughters-in-law will be against their mothers-in-law."

Why does standing on the word of God equate to hate fear and exclusion? Interesting. The world seems to tolerate just about anything but a bible believing Christian.

Most are good. The bad ones tend to get most of the press. Remember they are human and can screw up like everyone else.

its geopolitical. it all depends on where you live and what people are like there. some rural churches are progressive in their teaching, while others are not. it all depends on where you live.
