No. Send them all home and let them move to the back of the line for request to enter this country legally.

No I am not in favor of amnesty for law breakers they should be sent back and made to do it the legal way.It is not fair to other people who are doing it the legal way and have been waiting years to become legal American citizens. My wife has family in the Philippines that are very poor and would like to make a better life for themselves here in the US. and they have been on a waiting list for two and a half years you can not allow people to bi -pass the laws and the systems and cut in line just because they are illegally here already.

No. They shouldn't be automatically 'legalized'. They've already broken the law; hence the term ILLEGAL immigrant. Why should anyone be REWARDED for breaking a law? By legalizing the ones here, we're basically saying to the world, "Hey, hurry up and get here before the Legalization date takes affect; so when it comes, you can be here already and become legal too!". That would be a HUGE disaster!!! Imagine the 'rush' for the borders from the day the announcement is made!

No, the vast majority of Americans do not want them legalized. Poll after poll will tell you that yet the democrats in the Senate don't really care what the American people want. Check this out to see how they voted on immigration issues.

The population of the US just hit 300 million with 80% of the population growth attributed to immigration. We don't need to import more.

No, Never.
Amnesty did not work when Reagan passed it (and we were promised that it would not happen again) and it will not work this time around either. Reagan passed amnesty in the 80's, now look at us 20 years later and we are right back at square 1. The only difference is this time around the numbers of illegals has tripled. (if not quadrupled)

Here's the deal... 12 million ain't going away easily. First, we don't know who or where they are. The best we can hope for is to clean up what mess we have and get some kind of handle on who's here. We need to :

1. Penalize businesses so harshly that they FEAR hiring anyone without papers or on a cash basis
2. differentiate between those who are here recently without families and those here with families (especially anchor babies who are US citizens)
3. deport those with no families or felons or suspected terrorists
4. Identify, fingerprint, photo, DNA, issue ID card & temporary SS work #, and electronic bracelet workers who have families (anchor babies)

I'm saying send all (8 million - 12 million - now I'm saying 44 million) illegal aliens back to where ever they came from. Not just illegal Mexicans... but, ALL illegals.

We have a tough time as it is now trying to keep things working. My grandparents went through legal immigration and wanted to BE American. If you really want it, then you have to suck it up and go through the the proper channels. Everyone wants to circumvent the system and it hurts it in the long run.

Not as a blanket solution. I think it needs to be looked at on a case by case basis.

Drug dealers, gang members, sex offenders, coyotes, all should be booted.

People who are here to work and improve the lives of their families should be eligible for citizenship.
