It would be quite possible that Jesus had crossed over into India and then Cathy to study with Buddha and Chinese Magi. Much of his philosophy was already on record in both places.

It seems your question has stirred up the Christians' passive aggressive tendencies and paranoia. They have no proof of what happened during Jesus's "lost years," yet they will attack any answer that may hint that Jesus had to learn anything from anyone.

The Bible does record some of His comings and goings, such as His parents flight to Egypt to avoid His murder, as well as His introduction to the temple (and His forgetting to leave lol) at the age of 12. There are more stories (folklore mainly) in a couple of the books of the Apocrypha, but some are highly unlikely.

It has been said that between the age of 12 and 30 (not 33) He was being educated at the monastery at Qumran, with the Essene's. Qumran is located near the Dead Sea, and the monastery is right next to the caves where archeologists found the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Their reasoning is that some of the scrolls contain language that Jesus used during His ministry, and were written before His birth. It is also supposedly where John the Baptist was educated, and he lived in some of those same caves.

Well, I guess you just don't know your Bible. The Bible is
full of where Jesus was and what He did before the age of
33. 33 was the age of His death (and resurrection, I might
add). So, read the New Testament and you will see all that
He did. He touched people and healed them, He healed people
He didn't touch, He loved the people, He taught the people,
and He has left instructions for us, His children, also in His
Book, the Bible. What a Savior.

From 30 to 33, He was teaching His followers. Before the age of 30 (after the age of 12) is a period known as the Silent Years. We don't know what He did then. Most ppl suppose He worked as a carpenter. The Japanese claim He spent time in the Far East. The Hindus say He was in India learning their ways. They both claim Joseph of Aramathea took Him along on trading missions. I don't think they have anything, though. The people in his home village knew him as the carpenter's son. He was familiar to them.

He is described as going to Jerusalem at the age of 12. The ministry described in the Gopels starts at the age of 30. The Gospels are not intended to be biographies. They are testimonies to who Jesus is, and what His ministry was, and whow He was crucified, rose again and ascended into Heaven. In a sense, they are messages. There is no purpose in describing the intervening years apart from satisfying curiosity, and the Bible does not satisfy our curiosity very much. What it does do is satisfy our thirst for God.

If you want the whole story in detail check out Maria Valtorta`s books called The poem of the Man-God. Joseph died when Jesus was 18...he worked as a carpenter in the trade taught to him by his foster father until the age of 30 when he began his public life with the miracle at the wedding feast.

I guess you have never even read a Bible since the majority of the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) cover His life from birth to twelve, then from thirty to thirty three and a half.

He was born in Bethlehem, then He move to Egypt. After that He moved to Nazareth. At twelve he was in the Temple teaching the teachers. He was subject to His mother Mary and step father Joseph until he grew up to become a carpenter. At the age of 30 He began His ministry. Oh, and before all of this, He was on His Throne in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Jesus' life is covered in the Bible from birth to age 12, and then from age 30 to 33.

If you're going to ask a question, please try to be accurate.

There is plenty mentioned in the Bible. All you need to do is read it. If you dont want to read the whole thing then start in Matthew and keep on reading. That will keep you busy for a while.
