I have lived in America for 59 years and I can relate to what you are saying. I have learned that a lot of this happens because people have trouble accepting ways or people they do not understand. In America many people are judged by the way the look, act, dress, color of skin, etc This is something that has to be changed by all of us and the only way that it really can change is through understanding, education and love. So even though people may talk or criticize us, we have to continue to work for the greater good. I also have always wanted happiness, yet discrimination and a lot of other factors can prevent this. I overcome by improving myself mentally, spiritually and personally As we all we have some good and bad relationship, learn to treasure the good ones., The bad ones I say a prayer for those people to learn and maybe one day we can all get along.

I'd say if you're unhappy here, consider going back to where you're from. The gate's still open last time I checked.

Actually, if you consider that this country now has a population of 300 million, and the population growth has been fueled by immigration, I'd say there's good evidence that we're a pretty welcoming country.

Go to any other country, and you won't find as many different types of immigrants.

I bet it'd take a while to fit in for anyone who moved to a different country. Also, could your attitude have something to to with people who "give you bad feelings"?

Just a thought.

It's all relative isn't? You can get bad feelings anywhere you go; even across the street- maybe it's a language barrier.

I didn't feel that great or welcomed in some parts of Europe but so what? I don't need to feel welcomed everywhere I go all the time. However, the burden of feeling good is on me when I travel- not on other people to make me feel good.

Happy travels!
