My DD's (3) dad was supposed to make an appointment with my daughter's pediatric neurologist over a year ago and hasn't. My daughter has Sturge Weber Syndrome, but a mild form of it. She was diagnosed in 2004. The Family Court Comissioner told him that he had to make a phone call to my daughter's ped nuero to learn more about SWS, it could be a phone conference or in person conference. He NEVER did. I have a letter from the legal department at Mayo Clinic that proves that. It's been OVER a year since we went before the FCC, and he hasn't made any attempts at all to contact her.
What do you think the FCC or a judge would think? Or say?
And I am going to send the letter from the legal department, but I'm not sure who I should send it to. I'm thinking the FCC because he's the one who told him to do it. Not the judge.

I will. I am planning on getting several copies of it tomorrow. I have a binder with all of my DD's medical records in. I'm keeping it in there.

Don't send the original, make sure you keep a copy for yourself. Things have a way of getting lost. And if it were me I'd send it to the person who told him to make the call.

So what's the point? Are you trying to get sole custody? Are the two of you locked in some sort of visitation battle? Sure, it looks bad that he hasn't done anything but your message lacks context.

Plus, generally, if you send a judge or hearing commissioner a letter, they don't look at it because it's called an "ex parte communication" which means one side is trying to submit information without the other side having a chance to rebut or to be heard.

Since he was ordered, I would think that it's more appropriate that you file an application for order to show cause and try to get him held in contempt.
