eight out of ten fender benders are caused by women, 6 out of ten speeding tickets are given to women, women are less likely to use signals or stop on the stop line, young female drivers are more aggressive and dangerous drivers more often cited for tailgating, failing to yield and stop at stop signs. They are more likely to be using a cell phone or putting on make up while driving (I know, so don't even say it) and they actually have a higher incidence of road rage then men! So why?

Men love their children just as much as women and drive to insure their safety. Ladies let's focus and keep on track with the question being asked, equality and harassment issues belong on that worn out list of things women say when they get their feelings hurt or when they need to lash out!

i think women do a lot more small stupid annoying things while men's issues cause a lot more colateral damage. Start watching, the next time somenone is drive 10 mph under the speed limit, gets confused when there are more then two cars at a 4 way stop, doesn't use a turn signal, or other annoying things, look to see their gender. 9 times out of ten it is a owmen. trouble is, poking along at 30 mph in a 45 is terribly annoying, but it doesn't do as much damage as a guy with mid-life crises in his vette.

1. It's not "racism" because you're referring to gender, not race 2. Every insurance company looks at statistics. Those statistics show a higher rate of accidents (per age group) in male drivers than in female drivers. It's the same principal as life insurance charging more for older people. The statistics show that the older you get the more likely you are to die, but you don't see older folks complaining about how their friend's son died at 21 and they're perfectly healthy. You can't assume that just because something happened to you, it happens the same way for everyone.

On the contrary, women drivers are better drivers now and they
get better insurance rates in their car insurance policies.
The main reason is simply because women, in general, have
improved a lot over the years in their driving style and they have
become more alert, careful and fluent in following the safety and
traffic rules of the freeway.
Also, women have less accident claims than men which gives
them a higher or better rating in the insurance premium.
On the other hand, men drivers are still reckless, indifferent and
not safety-conscious in their driving. Although most men drivers
know the safety and traffic rules, they make the most mistakes
and ended up in road accidents far more than women.

You bring up good points, as far as young inexperienced lady drivers. But men, young and old, seem to always drive faster and take more risk. When a women is taught to drive correctly, she is as good as driver as anyone else on the road. When she becomes a mother, look out, you are in trouble there, she will always think of her kids before herself, whereas men still have the same driving habits they had before they became fathers.

Lots of things go through incurace minds. This particular answer, is that they figure the guys will drive mostly in a relationship. Guys care more about driving, and want to drive the girl around. Also, with the testosterone, they are more likely to do stupid things. Girls will drive recklisouly, but they dont drag race...

If women got charged more for insurance, regardless of statistics, it would be discrimination and the lawsuits would follow. Why are there no men-only health clubs? Why are there no men-only colleges?
Women make less money at work because they take a ton of time off work for family, miss work for "female" health problems, and change careers more often than men. Men basically work 'til they die.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense. I saw a woman behind me talking on the phone, and drinking a coffee with one pinky on the wheel trying to merge into traffic with her Urban Assault Vehicle. I also saw a woman behind me trying to run another vehicle off the road!
I have been in one accident in ten years and it wasn't my fault. Two speeding tickets years ago.

maybe most drunken drivers tend to be men and men tend to want to drive sportscars, big trucks, etc.
