I recommend WinSnap http://www.spotfiles.com/browse/details/1155/WinSnap
and it's freeware.

Capturing screenshots is extremely simple with no special software required. Every keyboard has a PrtSc (Print Screen) key. Press it and a copy of your screen is saved to the clipboard. Open up the Paint program that comes free with Windows and choose Past from the Edit meny. Voila! Save it in whatever format you wish.

Handy shortcut: Pressing Alt-PrtSc will capture only the contents of the active window! Paste into Windows Paint as usual.

Capturing video is a whole other story. For a freeware application to do that, I would visit www.snapfiles.com. It's an extensive library of freeware and shareware applications complete with screenshots and reviews.

Cheers,
Rob
