I've been using floppy disks for forever now, and I'm assuming there's something better than those floppy disks nowadays? What do you suggest besides a CD?

Don't know what kind of computer you own, but most computers do have USB ports.

You can get USB-memory-sticks in sizes from 64 Mb up to several Gigabytes.

Even an 65 Mb USB memory-stick can hold-up data equal to almost 60 1.44 Mb floppy disks and you can store and restore information much much faster.

floppies are terrible. they will go bad with no warning and ruin your documents.. go get a flash drive. they plug into any usb port on your computer and can hold hundreds of times more stuff than floppies

You could get a thumb drive, they plug into your USB plug/outlet thing.
