i don't think u can have a true relationship during high skul, hookups are more like it... one is not that mature during high skul and why waste time w/ one person when this is the time u can be free and not get punished by it. But if u really want a relationship go ahead... but don't expect it to be something like forever and ever

Yes, it is normal for a ninth grader to not have a true relationship. You are still young, it isn't until you are about 17 or 18 when adulthood comes at you. Also, people who start true relationships sooner are usually those same people wearing condoms and having sex with a whole lot of people. You do not want to go down that road, trust me.

Of course! From my background, my older sister, who is almost 18, has not had a true date in her life. She enjoys being a child, and having her childhood not taken away from her, which I think is amazing. Your only a child for only so long. I'm in 8th grade presently, and I've not had a date either. I wish I could date, but I just don't...wonder how my parents will react?! LOL. Anyways, I think children under the age of 16 are way too young to date! I see fifth graders dating...how odd is that? How perverted it is too! Your only like what, 10 years old!? Anyways, it doesn't mean anything. I think young dating leads to sex, and that leads to teenagers having all those children during high school, don't you agree? So answer your question, your not too young, and you have many years to come...live your young life, because you have what, more then 30 years to date!

Completely normal. Ninth grade relationships last once every 1000 times anyway. It's better to just concentrate on your work....of course, remembering the way I was a ninth grader I now realize there's probably no way you could do that.
Just be patient.

Well, I consider myself as normal as they come and i did not have a seroius relationship until I was 25 when I had time from school and work. Other dating was sporatic with many different females. Persons that were in a hurry to have a seroius relationships when young ( I think that is what you mean by 'true') had in some cases an miserable relationship.

I dunno if it's normal, but I am in my final year of high school and am still awaiting my first girlfriend. Some of my friends are in the same situation. It's not that we are unattractive or nerds, it's just we haven't found the right girl, or the one is taken. You shouldn't think you are not normal to be a single 9th grader. After all, would you rather go out with any girl, or would you like to find a girl that's right for you, then go out with her for awhile, or maybe longer?

Oh yeah, you have plenty of time, trust me. I honestly wouldn't rush. Real relationships at your age often bring more havoc, frustration, and questions than you need to be dealing with at your age. It feels like I am so old to say this because when I was your age, I remember how important it was, but seriously there is no rush. Try having fun, and when the time is right, the right person will come along.

By relationship do you mean with a lover? I am sure you have many positive relationships in your life....family and friends. Concentrate on those, don't be in a hurry to grow up.

Perfectly normal. Some people don't find true love until they're in their 40s or even older. It will happen when it happens, don't try to rush it.
