If she adores you as much as you seem to adore her, then that is important. That doesn't make relations easy with her parents though. But what is important is that she loves you enough to stand up for her relationship with you. If you are already getting that from her then that's a good step. Maybe over time they will treat you better. It could mean that they are protective of her. Maybe the both of you could talk about this and include her parents. This might be a good way develop a better relationship with them.

Unfortunately this is just what parents do!. If you really like her and she treats you right they should come round and realize that she makes you happy. You may even encourage her to make more of her self too. I met my husband when I was 19 and he had "done time" also. My Mum and Dad were mortified! but we got on so well and he showed me a massive amount of affection and care and treated me very well. He changed dramatically for the good and completely settled down. My parents realized how happy he made me and that he was making such an effort. We have been together for 8 years and married for 5 and things are great. Sometimes people are not ideal but meeting someone will change them. I think your girlfirend probably needs some stability in her life and the answer might be you. Good Luck

Try not to listen to her family if you too love each other than you should be together, but if your girlfriend family means alot to her maybe you should try and talk to them and make them understand that your a good guy and that you love there daughter. well hopefully this helps

Have you ever read Romeo and Juliet? You are in the same situation. You need to win her family over. Talk to them about your plans for the future and how you will take care of their daughter. How old is she? If she is 18, she doesn't need their permisssion to see you.

How old are you? If her family don't want you around and you are a minor, just stay away. If it is meant to be, it will be.

tell your girl that you are tired of it and you will not tolerate the abuse and she needs to do something about it. and then the next time they disrespect you speak up for your self in a respectful way
