would help you to endure.

If you failed due to intensity of the torture and were saved, would God forgive you or not if there was no time to repent?

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: ‘For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.’ No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”

And even if I "failed" the above verse would still apply...for that is what "nakedness" refers to....and all who are in Christ are "more than conquerors"! Period.

There will come a time where this scenario is for real..The bible says there are thrones in heaven already for the headless who refused the mark of the beast! I hope people have well prepared themselves. As far as verses I would think of the Story and say to myself the 23 psalm..also think about the entire chapter of Daniel 3...and say to those threatening me "MY GOD IS ABLE TO SAVE ME.. BUT EVEN IF HE DON'T I WILL NOT DENOUNCE HIM"...Also remember IF we deny him before man, he WILL deny us before God! so no I don't think you get a second chance to get that one right. May God be with you always! peace

I would think of Daniel in the lion's den, when the Lord shut their mouths, or the 3 men in the fiery furnace, and there was a fourth man seen in there with them and they survived without so much as the smell of smoke on their clothing......
God forgives everything...He forgave Peter's denial of Him.....

i don't think there would be time to repent if you fail. to be able to endure, i would have to have a strong faith, really strong. like knowing for a fact that God exists, just as i know that 2+2 is four.

Matthew 10:28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. 30 But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. 32 So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, 33 but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.

John 19:10 So Pilate said to him, "You will not speak to me? Do you not know that I have authority to release you and authority to crucify you?" 11 Jesus answered him, "You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given you from above. Therefore he who delivered me over to you has the greater sin."

Daniel 3:14 Nebuchadnezzar answered and said to them, "Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the golden image that I have set up? 15 Now if you are ready when you hear the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, to fall down and worship the image that I have made, well and good. But if you do not worship, you shall immediately be cast into a burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you out of my hands?" 16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. 17 If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. 18 But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up."

If you are a true child of God then God will give you the grace necessary to endure whatever trial He allows to come into your life.

1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

But, just for the sake of discussion, if somehow you were not able to endure then He who knows your heart wouldn't condemn you because you failed to pass the test.

I would be praying for God to forgive me of my sins and ask for forgiveness of the sins of the people that were torturing me, just as Jesus said, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do."

calendar girl,
I've been attacked by demons in my dreams sometime ago. In my dream, I got down to my knees and prayed to God, all things that could come to mind. God took them away from me. It happened again later. They try to use words to confuse you. But once they see that you are going to depend on God, you are the weak link, and they know it. But all scripture out of memory is edifying.

So the torturers would have to silence me in order to get me to stop. Now I know some entire pslams, and more quotes out of the Bible. "Greater is He who is in me, than He that is in the world. I am a Child of God, through Christ Jesus. Oh Lord my Lord, how excellent is Thy name in all the Earth, who has set Thy glory above the heavens. Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings, Thou hast perfected praise, that Thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. When I consider the heavens, the moon the satrs, that Thou hast ordained, what I man that Thou atr mindful of him, the son of man that Thou visitest him. For Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honor. Thou hast given him dominion over the works of Thine hands, Thou putest all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen yea and the beasts of the field, the fowl of the air and the fish of the sea, and whosoever passeth through the paths of the sea. Oh Lord our Lord, how excellent is Thy name in all the earth!

Revelations 2:12-17.

Through no action on my part, other than to gratefully embrace what Jesus of Nazareth has already done for me, I have already been forgiven.
