chocolate is like cocaine to dogs, it will kill them. it basically speeds up their heart and they will die if they eat to much, and very little is to much. as far as the peanut butter, we feed it to our dog. She loves it and she has never gotten sick from it, not even an upset stomach.

Peanut butter, while not the best for dogs, is ok. Chocolate on the other hand, can be deadly to them. Chocolate contains a chemical called theobromine that is poisonous to dogs. Fortunately, it can only be deadly when given in large quantities (100-150mg on avg.), although this can vary due to the dog's size, sensitivity, and chocolate concentration.

Chocolate is supposed to be bad for dogs because it causes there little hearts to race and may cause a heart attack...or at least that is what I have always heard. Peanut butter shouldn't be bad though. It sure it funny to watch a dog eating peanut butter. Good luck!

peanut butter is a nice treat for dogs.

I know there is this myth about chocolate and dogs - from what I have learned bakers chocolate or very dark chocolate is definitely not good for dogs. My dog once ate an entire bag of hershey kisses tin foil and all and he was absolutely fine.

Chocolate is very bad for dogs. peanut butter is fine, in small quantities. It's fun to give them a little because they love it and link the roof of their mouth like crazy! I have also used peanut butter to make home made dog treats.

Chocolate can be like poison to a dog. Bakers chocolate is the worst. Chocolate like Hershey's candy isn't as poisonous but you should not give it to your dog. A little peanut butter wont hurt the dog it's a good source of protein. We use it to give our dog pills but don't give the dog to much.

My friends dog died from eating chocolate...NEVER give a dog chocolate...not sure about peanut butter - but I'm thinking can't be good either. There is a reason there is food made especially for dogs...and treats made especially for dogs...I think they even have doggie chocolates (but made w/o real chocolate)

Chocolate = BAD!!
Peanut butter = GOOD, for most dogs. Some dogs can technically be allergic to peanuts just like people, but it's not very common at all. Most dogs LOVE peanut butter.
