My husband started losing his hair at age 17 and had only fringe left by age 25. Most likely, you suffer from male pattern baldness and your maternal grandfather was bald.
You have a couple of choices:
1) Embrace your baldness (shave your head and become a cool bald person)
2) Rogaine, propecia, and hair transplant...
Oh yeah...a toupee...but please don't go there, no matter what the advertisements say...women don't like it!

There are numbers of factor why we lose hair, genetics, stress and poor blood circulation. There is no such products that will help your hair from growing not unless you put a hair transplant which is not advisable because you are still young. This simple technique if you follow it will help your hair to grow. After washing your hair, you sit and put your head down, start massaging your scalp with your finger tips not with your nail, until you felt warmth on your face, this means that your blood is circulating which is a good sign. Do this at least 15 minutes or more everyday. You will be on your way to a healthy growing way.
Good luck patience pays off at the end....................

Heredity may have dealt you a bad hand, but there are ways to slow the process. There are professional salon products specifically designed to help keep the hair you have, thicken your hair, and slow the process of loss. My top choice is the Nioxin line available in many professional salons. This product line offers a full range tailored to your specific needs offering shampoo, conditioner, daily treatments, scalp treatments, styling products and vitamins. There are various over the counter and prescription treatments available. Topical treatments (applied to the scalp) containing monoxidyl, such as Rogaine, are popular. These topical treatments show varied success and once you discontinue use, your hair loss continues where it left off.
There are more permanent solutions such as hair replacement therapy where hair is transplanted to your specific area of loss. These are costly and permanent procedures also with varied sucess.

There is a shampoo called Nioxen that my bro used when he started loosing his hair. It worked to keep more from falling out but then he decided why fight it and he was much younger than 24 when that started happening. Anyway you can get this at a local hair salon or beauty supply shop. There are other hair treatments as well , that i am sure are much cheaper. You just need to check them out there's some you could even get at retail stores.

You can try drugs like rogaine or others like that. Do it early if you're going to try it. It doesn't work well if you let the baldness advance. Then get used to the idea of using it for the rest of your life.
Or you do like half the men in the world, and decide that it's only hair. It's not like it's going to kill you being bald...

I started losing mine at the same age as you...rogaine slowed it down, but you may just have to accept it. Don't stress over it and DO NOT EVER DO THE COMB OVER! Women love a shaved head!
