Im a junior in college and im in a long distance relationship with my boyfriend. We see each other about once a month and i really love him. Recently he has become more spiritual and decided that we should be celibate until we get married. I have every intention of being with him and i am also a chrisian so i understand why he chose to do this. He asked me if i would go along with it because it was a decision that involved the both of us. I felt like saying no because i love sex but knew that it was the right thing to do. Its gonna be so difficult. But i want to know what you all think and what you would do and anyone being celibate with their partner how is it working for you?

Well we did have sex a few times and it was great but we both decided that its important for our relationship to also be seen as good in God's eyes. Besides getting married has no perks if you have a honeymoon and its the same hum-drum sex you have every other day. Its just so difficult because we see so little of one another that our feelings are so intense once we actually do.

Wallah I do see hope in the west where the females do not think much to sleep with their boy friends. I support your boy friends view. Now is the time to find what you like about each other without having sex because if you indulge in sex it simply will cloud your mind and and your relationship will go no further. You are sexy but at the same time I think you are also blessed to find a Good man. It is easy do not think about it and there are no compulsions. When I got married it was the same. We did indulge in heavy petting but no sex

More mature people need to think like this, I think it's great and wish it was something I would have done. God will truely honor this in your relationship. Good Luck and God Bless

I'm married and going on 9 months celibate.

Go figure....Just find other things to occupy your time and mind.

If I can do it (not by choice) then you can too. Good luck.
