ive had this dvd player for not even a year and it used to play all dvds normally with no problems....now everytime i try to play a dvd it tells me it can read the disc. At first i thought it was just that one dvd i was trying to watch but after trying like 10 different ones it tells me the same thing over and over. Is there anyway i can fix it or is it a gonner?.....also just wondering when fast-forwardng or rewinding a dvd is it scratching the dvd dice? just wondering thanks

If you've tried multiple discs with the same result-try using a laser cleaner first. Then, if the problem continues, get a new DVD player - it's so cheap now that it makes sense to replace it than to have hours of frustrating troubleshooting.

if still under warrenty u can send it in to get fixed and fast forwarding and rewinding does not scratch the disc. the information on the disc transfers to the dvd player via laser

the laser is probably dirty or shot. you can pick up something to clean the laser for cheap. If that doesn't work you should probably get a new DVD player and if you stay away from the better brand names you do not get the quality.

the first thing would be to simply purchase a cleaning disk from walmart... if that does not work, the head is probably out of alignment, and will need to be adjusted or replaced.

Purchase a new one if this is the case... I wouldn't even return it.

Its a manufacturing defect I suppose. If its in the warranty period just ask the shopkeeper to replace it.
