Magnaflow,Bassanni,Flowmaster,Borla,etc. which would you choose and why? Remember base your decision on sound first! any good sites to listen to diff types?

I had Flowmaster 40 series (the originals, not Delta Flows) and a MAC catted H-Pipe on my '98 GT and that car sounded GOOD!
I've heard Magnaflows and they sound good as well, but for some reason I've always loved the sound of a 4.6 with Flowmasters (I think they sound even better on the OHC engines than on 5 liters.)

go with Bassani. it's the best made with excellent tubing and the widest tubing pipes out there. a little pricey if you know what i mean but very worth it, there x pipes add a lot of extra sound as well and plus my friend has Bassani exhaust on his 01 cobra which sounds awesome. and he has Flowmaster mufflers and mufflers make the difference and in my opinion i'd go with Borla mufflers very loud as well as SLP Loudmouth where the name says it all.
no sites i can think of right off hand to go listen. so try youtube.com or myspace for video clips of people and there exhaust and you hopefully will come across something. good luck

Flowmaster! Friend had dual flowmaster exhaust on the mustang that he sold and it sounded sweet. Another friend of mine that has a 4.6 also has Flowmaster..........out of the 3 that named, flowmaster would be the best when it comes to sound.

Mine was a 5.0 but I had Borla side exhaust and it was very throaty. I loved to rev the engine just to listen to it!

I thought what i have heard from Mustangs were the factory sound on the GT models and that sounded good to me but as someone else said its probably personal preference.

im the same as big daddy-i had flowmasters on my 96 cobra it was sweet everyone looked when i went by the 410 rear gears helped too

Flowmaster. That's what I have on my 5.0 and my aunt has on her 4.6. Sounds GREAT.

sound is a matter of preference . straight pipes will be loud but illegal.
i prefer the sweet but throaty sounds of cherry bombs. the were just recently made illegal in Calif for hi way use
