I like the person who said "they sell high priced trucks and SUV'S that no one buys". The Ford F SERIES is the best selling car or truck on the market number one followed by Silverado in second and Camry taking third. Your an IDIOT. (NOT SAYING THEY WONT LOOSE MONEY)

They announced a loss of $5.8 Billion dollars for the recent fiscal year.
They spent money purchasing overpriced marquis brands like Jaguar and Aston Martin. Look, the Volvo V40 and the Mazda are outselling the Focus because those cars have more features (and better quality) than the Focus. Plus, Ford sells all those high profit SUVs and Trucks which no one wants to buy. Ford is going private at some point - just to avoid bankruptcy.

All I can say is that this time last year we did 1500 to 2000 car (Ford) sales every week at the auction. We do 500 now. Sure hope it picks back up soon.

they're slated to lose about a dollar and change per share for this year and the next. Yahoo! Finance will tell you that. go to Ford, F and analyst estimates.
Why? Poor Management, crappy product line, (They keep reviving these crappy muscle cars that no one wants,) The SLOOOOWWW SUV sales, (even slower than they thought) decreasing year over year market share and the unions are killing them. They gotta pay guys to stay home, and they are paying rediculous pensions. What a mess!

Ford has another problem (which incidentally may pull GM out of bankruptcy), -- they have gone "all out public" on supporting the gay-lesbian agenda. This does not sit well with a lot of peole (who don't openly oppose it or make a fuss, -but dislike "having their noses rubbed in it!")!! Therefore a lot of people will buy cars handled by other companiesthis year!
Perhaps they shold concentrate on making better cars!

how the hell is ford loosing money there damn cars and trucks are every where. where I live all the damn police and sheriff's drive crown vic's and those suv things.
