yes you can. and no don't use the thinnest drywall you can. use 1/2 inch. you can adjust the wall outlets and switchs to meet the extra thickness. Thinner drywall will sound terrible and will damage with less force.

but be sure that you try to find the thinnest drywall you can buy, b/c the stuff on the walls now is prob. really thin and your electrical outlets will not match up. they will set back inside the drywall if it is too thick.

use standard 1/2 inch drywall and extenders on your electrical boxes to make the switches and outlets flush with the wall. don't use the thin stuff, it gets damaged too easy.

yes you can.we just put drywall up in the winter of last year and put installation in also ,saves on heating bills trust me.we remodeled our manufactured home last winter.good luck
