I make a funny noise sometimes that sounds like a mouse. It really loud and alot of people think that it tis cute. I dont. heeeeeek!!! I t happens whe im either really hunger, thirsty, cold, or when I have just eaten. No it is not a hiccup. At least I dont think it is. Although when I do hiccup, It sounds this way as well but lasts for 10-15 minutes. But what im curious about is why it always happens in the middle of my sentences. All the time and people probably think that i do it on purpose. I dont know when it will happen. I could be in the middle of a conversation and all of the sudden....HEEEEEK!!. And just once. Then im left with a bunch of questions.

What happens immediately before the noise? Do you feel it coming on? Does it feel like it's coming from your sinuses? Or your stomach? That would be the biggest clue.

It sounds like it is coming from your stomach. A hiccup is the way our bodies equalize the difference in gasses inside & outside our stomach. Maybe you equalize yours in lots of small episodes where as the rest of us have to wait until there is a big build-up.

I think if you really wanted to you could have an operation to strengthen the muscle at the top of your stomach. It would not really be worth it though.

It just sounds like a single hiccup. However, you might check out this Web site and see if it sounds anything like what you're experiencing.
