Vodka NO, Rum is ok, some of the liquers are better..Bourbon is good. Chianti is great (add sugar to taste)...Scotch is not very good...In most countries, the alcohol is served separate but brandy and cognac are often added to coffee.

Irish coffee, the best part of waking up. Which uses Irish whiskey (see source for preperation).
Also Kahlua or irish cream or Chocolate Liqueur. Spiced rum (like captain morgans) can add a nice flavor.

Nut liqueurs are nice, like amaretto or Frangelica. You can basically think of any flavored coffee and try to find a similarly flavored liqueur. So if you like hazelnut coffee, you'll like Frangelica in coffee. If you like raspberry coffee, try a splash of Chambord. Irish cream (Bailey's) is also a classic addition to coffee.
