Almost any camera. Set the mode dial to "S" for shutter priority. (Some cameras use "Tv" for the shutter priority mode. There may be other codes that I am not famliiar with.) Select a fast shutter speed, like 1/250 or 1/500 or higher. Aim at the object and try to track along with it as it moves. Press the shutter button when you think you are keeping pace with the object. Vibration Reduction ("VR") or Image Stabilization ("IS") HELP a great deal, but don't expect the results that they suggest are possible on those commercials...

I use a Canon rebel
it is an SLR
you can set the f stops to capture a race car if you wanted.
Something that has a setting where you can adjust the f stops
