Wow, you really thought you were sly. It all sounds so innocent. You deserve to be turned in. There was intent. I would have called the police and made a visit.
Being really scared right now would be a good emotion to be feeling. You have just singled yourself out as a potential predator. You are naive to think that the police haven't heard about similar 'innocent' incidents. What a joke! You thought the police would buy the OOPS excuse. I'm sure people have thought up all sorts of stupid "but it was an accident" explanations.
You better think twice about doing something similar because the price is very high.
You wouldn't want me to be on the jury!
Oh, on the off chance (0.000000001%) that you are innocent, you should feel terrible about stealing a little bit of a child's innocence.

You knew kids would be at the door and you still went in a towel. Seems like you should have ignored the door or not taken a shower at that moment. Find a lawyer.

The police will do their job- it's what they have to do... now they could check your computer and stuff like that to look into it all further. I'm not really sure about the legal issues of it all though. Maybe next time try to slip some boxers or something on really quick, you never know these days.

i see your point, but think if you had a young daughter and another man did that. you would immediately think that he did it on purpose and he is a pervert and you would be angry. but a little tip for the future, you should never answer your door in just a towel, you never know who is on the other side of the door. and the trick or treaters would have been just fine missing out on one house of candy, so that you could have gotten dressed.

When it comes to sexual situations with minors, it doesn't matter where it happens. Next time, don't answer the door until you are reliably covered. If it happened the way you say, I wish you luck. You were lucky not to be charged or investigated further. Don't let it happen again and you should be fine.

I'd do the same if those were my kids. I mean really...why would you answer the door in a towel on Halloween and then of all things for it to "slip"? That sounds a little strange to me.

ya shouldn't have answered the door. It sounds like bad judgment to me, nothing criminal, but I would contact a lawyer int he morning. A sex offender listing isn't something you want following you around, and flashing trick or treaters can get you on the list.

public nudity is a dangerous but often cool thing to do. often times commercials or TV shows portray nudity in public as a highly embarrassing and funny thing with no real dire consequences.
becoming a registered sex offender is on my to do list in life, but usually you have to be a man to join this list. somehow women naked in public is a turn on, while naked men is a crime. i call this the hairy *** factor. if your a woman and not a cyborg don't worry. if you are the latter transform into optimums prime and become a truck driver.

Sorry for asking but why would you answer the door if you knew that children were there?
