Pretty much all religions allow for a good person to go to Heaven. Most sects of Christianity believe that any good person goes to heaven. On the whole, Christianity does not stipulate that you be Christian. This is also the case in Islam, where the belief is that it is not the place of a human to condemn a person, and it is not the place of a human to presume how Allah will judge. Most other common world religions, such as Hinduism and Buddhism, are cycle religions, where there is no hell, and you simply are reborn to try it again, following your Karma. I know that it can be frustrating, sifting through different sects of religion, but I have found over time that most religions are there to make people better people, and on the whole don't believe that non-believers are worse people. There are certain sects of religions that do believe you must belong to the religions, but they are usually a minority.

well, except for Christianity- this is pretty much all religions- including non religion- it is all self exaltation - all religions that expect you to adhere to their idea of what a good person is. By whose standards do you judge whether a person is good or not?
A person might decide not to be a part of a particular religion because their standards are too low or too high compared to their own idea of what is good- but the religion still believes being a good person will get you to heaven.
The truth is no amount of good works, no matter the quality of "good" will get anyone into heaven.

hey its a great concept, I use to believe it too, but I don't anymore because there is no such thing as a "good person" we are all sinners and need a savior. I use to believe all the lies about "good people" go to heaven and "bad people" go to hell but when you boil it all down and look at it, what sin is better than another? The truth is we are saved by GRACE through FAITH not by WORKS so that no man can BOAST!!! that means you can't work your way in. God already provided the way all we have to do is accept his invitation. no one can live a Holy enough life on their own. The heart of man is full of every evil thing, when we are born again we get a new heart and a new spirit, along with those come new eyes to see with and new ears to hear with and we finally understand the truth and the truth makes us free! Peace

Couldn't tell u exactly what religion if any says that, but while I was a member of the Pentecostal religion my pastor would always tell me that it would've been better for me not to know God than to know Him then deny Him. Or not to know God then part from Him. It was later reinforced by the Baptist's, the Evangelist's, and the Mormon's of which I now belong to.

Personally I think and BELIEVE that people who don't know God or who have lived a "good" moral life will get the opportunity to rejoin God in Heaven.

If you have to adhere to Judaism's 7 Moral Laws for Atheists Or Anyone Else Who Does Not Believe What They Believe, then you're not and Atheist etc, you're Jewish.

No religions are that tolerant, not even Judaism. Buddhism doesn't count because Buddhists don't center their beliefs around any God-types, they center it around bettering themselves.

Catholics say that if someone follows Gods laws without being given the chance to reject his Kingdom because they have never heard of it or Gods laws they are a law unto themself and can be judged accordingly

Judaism is one. A non-Jew only needs to follow 7 basic moral laws to get into heaven.

Hinduism and many other eastern religions also acknowledge that people of other religions can gain the highest spiritual levels.
