Auditory hallucinations are hearing sounds that aren't there, visual ones are seeing things that aren't there. What you describe doesn't sound like hallucinations.

They are not illusions either. An illusion is believing something that isn't true.

What do you mean by occasional? If you experience these things once every 6 mos., I wouldn't worry too much. If you experience these things 10 times a day, I would see a doctor.

I wish I could tell you exactly what you are experiencing but I don't know. The safes thing is always to ask your doctor.

When friends and family wont tell you ask it on Answers. You are picking up sumbliminal teasing from your group and untill you learn the second vocabulary and the hand signs the winners' circle will wear you down to distress. Psychotic hallucinations come later if the stress can be made severe enough. Depression reaction from the brain eventually gives way to let the chemical overloading reswitch brain telephone signals to the wrong parts of the brain. Read up on psychosis for best advance warnings of games people play. This is serious stuff. Those who remain as outsiders can and do end up with suicide, the ultimate hallucination. Remember depression is all about friends and family.

that isn't an hallucination you're describing, it's a misperception. An hallucination is a false perception of one of the five senses, so you can have a visual, olfactory (false odor) tactile (touch) taste or auditory (hearing voices). The person experiencing one believes it is real, not like "I thought I heard something." They actually think they have

Yeah, that's normal. Actually, those are called illusions, which is when you misinterpret something in the environment. So, you see a flicker out of the corner of your eye, and you think it's a person, but when you turn, you see it's just a bag blowing along the ground. Actually, I take it back, an illusion is when it's a bag, and you still think it's a person after you've gotten a good look. Relax, you're not crazy.

It's probably illusions. Illusions are misperceptions of actual stimuli such as the rustling of leaves sounding like voices. Illusions are NOT false beliefs. Those are delusions.
