Oh, this is so right up my alley! I've had 70s kitsch as subtle theme in my kitchen, and I've used a few Betty Boop items for the 50s diner era. Currently I have a collection that lends itself towards a 40s General Store theme.

For 70s kitsch, try searching for Merry Mushroom on Ebay, and 70s mushroom for textiles. Your local thrift stores, resale shops and antique stores have a lot of items too. You can find a lot of groovy glassware like McDonald's character glasses too.

Fiestaware is really good to use for almost any retro theme. JCPenney and Kohl's have really good selections in their stores and online.

I paint the lids of used empty pickle jars and olive jars to hold items like pasta, rice, seasonal candy, Hershey kisses, etc. and display them on shelves in my kitchen. The jars and lids have to be run through the dishwasher a few times to get the original smell out.

Tin advertisement signs are really cool and can be found online and local craft stores.

A few websites that have plenty of retro kitchen items are:
Gooseberrypatch.com, tenderheart.com, jackandfriends.com. Tender Heart Collections has a great clearance section!

Have fun, I hoped this helped some!

ETA: I just found another website: retroonline.com. Also, try searching for Eams era (kitchen) to find Mod decor.
