I can't stop counting things. Doesn't have to be the correct count. It's really starting to bug me.

That is a sign of an obsessive/compulsive characteristic. The fact that you are aware of it is a good thing. If you are going to continue to count things, like I do, make them worthwhile. I like counting money. Especially if it's mine!!

Good luck

OCD. Don't let this get a grip otherwise you may start lots of other obsessions. Things like this crop up when you are going through a period of anxiety....sometimes we are not even aware of what we're anxious about. It's your mind's way of making things feel safe over things we have no control over.

Ask yourself this? What would happen if you didn't count? Maybe you'd feel uncomfortable but you'd get over that.

Each time you start to count something turn your head from it and think of something else. If you practise this you'll break the habit.

Also take a good look at what is happening in your life and closely around you to find the root case.

Hope this helps.

Sounds like you have an Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or commonly referred to as OCD. See a doctor.
