my 3 year old loves to get up before anyone to make her own breakfast which turns into a mess so we put a baby gate on her bedroom so when she gets up she yells for mommie but now she will stay in her room and play and i usually just get her when i get up and she won't want to leave her room so i just leave her be .

she's trying to get your attention.. I do this for a living everyday and i see it everyday. As a single mother I can imagine its hard to spend the amount of time you would want with your children. Your daughter is trying to get your attention with negative behavior. What get more attention?? Most of the time you spend more time to correct negative behavior than you do praising good behavior. So use positive reinforcement. A reward chart is great. You could do it for every morning she does not display this behavior she gets a sticker, at the end of the week a special reward of special time between you and her. Maybe a movie or a game. I use positive reinforcement alot at my job , and it really is successful over time, if you do it everyday. Let her help with it. Let her be involved in things you do at home, she really is reaching out for mom's attention, even if she's getting it in a negative way.

What do you mean by early in the morning? If she's getting up at 6:00 or so then it's time to get up. She's healthy and ready to play. Get up, feed her, dress her and play - then she'll take a nap. Ignore her statements that aren't nice but rather encourage nice conversation and allow her to express how she feels. She may be a little drama queen, enjoy her and be happy.

she's pushing your buttons. I would suggest that you make a habit of being up before her. It may mean that you miss the late night talk shows, but thats what parenting is about.
I don't know where she would get these things, they are too complicated for her to know what they really mean. I think she did hear it from you or some one else in her life, and you need to know where its coming from.
Tell her you loveher, will always love her and then make her help clean up her mess.

Sounds like she's doing it to get attention from you, even though it's the negative kind.
Try getting up before her, and encouraging her to go to the toilet, or potty(whatever you use).
Same goes for before bedtime.
Give lots of praise, hugs and kisses for each time she chooses to do the right thing.
When she chooses the wrong thing, acknowledge it, tell her it's wrong and why, and tell her how you'd prefer her to do it.
Then once again, praise her and make a big fuss when she gets it right again.
Do this in all aspects of your day together, and soon she'll rather get your attention doing the right thing.
Hope this helps.

Her saying I don't love you is a phase, just let it go. As for the mess, have her clean it up. I'm not kidding, a three year old can pick up things and put them away. If you take the fun out of it, she will stop. P.S. pretend you having fun watching her clean it up.

You should let her out right before bedtime and then first thing in the morning. She'll be much more likely to "do her business" outside on the lawn in a timely manner that way.
By the way, how'd you train her to talk? And what breed is that? I know Jack Russells are pretty smart, for example.

As far as the waking up and making messes goes, I would gate her in her room, leaving the door open. That's what we did with our two year olds when they would wander in the night; might work for yours.

Get up before she does and beat her to the punch, so to speak. If she sees you sitting in the living room (or wherever) when she gets there she'll think you're going to be there every morning from now on.

leave it and don't clean it up (mess depending of course, you pick and choose). Then wake her up and have her clean it up under your supervision. Remember she's 3, try to speak to her in "her" language when your explaining why.
