I am doing a research paper on what kind of programs/help if any are offered for the single father. Are there Gov., state, private, counseling, anything. I have searched the web and found mostly sites made by single dads or help for mothers. This is a tough issue for me because I am a single dad of two girls and have been raising them for the last eight years without knowing any kind of help was available. Any answers you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

same help that a single mother gets. your gender does not decide if you need help or not.

Try your local church I'm sure they have single dad, mom, parent classes or programs available to you. I went to one parenting class they had at the local church and even got a certificate for going and that looks nice on my wall. So do check the local churches out for something like that. I hope this helps. Good luck and god bless.

Gender doesn't matter.
You can qualify for a lot of programs if you meet the program guidelines.
Contact your local Social Services Department for a list of programs withing your city.
