use a stiffer jell or Assuie scrunch.

Braid it, apply hair spray, and then let it set. You can also try crimping it. If you want to scrunch your hair while it's wet, again, try hairspray or gel.

braid it and use a good gel or holding mousw while wet and do not take down til dry
