He betrayed Jesus (Matt 26:23). According to Webster's Dictionsary, to betray is to "deliver to an enemy by treachery". So Judas was a traitor.

Absolutely! He committed the worst sin and Jesus stated that it would be better that he was never born. Judas like all of us had free will.In the end he betrayed. Then he comitted the final act of betrayal in his suicide...he denied God and His infinite power for love and forgiveness.Despair is one of Satan`s last masterpieces since it uses your free will against God`s offer for mercy love and forgiveness even at the last and darkest hour.

No, he was not a traitor, he was the #2 apostle right after MM. He sat on christ’s left and she on his right. The real traitor was Peter and the Catholics switched things around to hijack the original christian church.

That is a tough one. I don't believe he was, in a way, cause' it was pre-ordained for him to sell Jesus out for 30 pieces of silver. That would make him simply a pawn in the plan.

"Jesus Christ Superstar", handled that question well, I think.
