Because we do not have the technology and ability to repair the spinal cord yet. When we figure that out we will have to help the million or so people who can not move anything below their neck move again before doing any brain transplants though.

If you could connect a brain from one person to the nerves and body of another person who would you wind up with, the person who donated the body or the person who donated the brain?
Assuming that the memories remain in the brain I think you would have to say that the resulting person is the previous owner of the brain. Therefore what was performed was not a brain transplant in a body but a body transplant to a brain.

nervous system is the most complicated system of body, and any damage to it is irriversible........Humen couldnt findout the way to repair damaged nervious tissue, n also when u r trasplanting it in other body u need to make the connection between transplated brain n rest of the body tissue via neurons which is impossible ...... I just love the Maker of our systems.....

Because when you cut the nerves in the donor the nerves will not reconnect with the nerves in the receiving body.
