Usually warrants take a day to process. After they come down from the courthouse and then are placed into the system. There are certain instances where they could get processed and served quicker. If you are curious then just call up to your local courthouse or Sheriff's Department and ask, most will require you to be there in person so that you can be served. The longer you wait the worse it could get, granted the warrant amount can't go up but they can apply what is called a body attachment (in layman's terms a smaller fine attached to the larger warrant).

It depends on several factors:

Who issued the warrant? If it was from a clerk of the court then it is whenever you next come in contact wih a police officer. The normallywon't hunt you down.

If it is from a magistrate then you never know. It depends how busy the warrant division of your police station is. I mean there can be a good sized list depending on where you live.

If you are high risk and they really want you they will do it verysoon to get you off the streets.

Those are some general rules. There is no absolute answer to that one. Unike a search warrant where you must excute the search warrant within 3 days.

Some warrants will be served very shortly afterwards

Others merely wait till you are stoped for some traffic stop to be arrested.

Don't you know if you committed a crime necessitating a warrant for your arrest? How can this be? Warrants will get to you when they get to you.

Until they find you. You should check with your state to see what's their statute of limitations. However, I don't think they expire.
