Those are the only two words I can think of that when put together people get really angry. I'm in school still yet (a senior) and today during class someone said that exact word...now people can cuss (or curse..however you like to say it), and usually do, but whenever these two words are said people gasp. I was just wondering if it was like this everywhere else or if this is just simply because I live in the bible belt....there has only been 1 or 2 times in my life I have heard those two words together.

Thanks for the answers!

I don't know if you mean the MF word, or the GD word, but probably GD, which I usually say when I swear, even though I'm an atheist - it's just customary, and I like how it makes the other people in my office wince. I am in the bible belt as well.

Edit: I need to work on those reading comprehension skills.

I live in the Bible Belt also. My parents cuss like sailors or more worse and they use those words all the time. I refrain from any cuss words period because its unlady like and people say it I just ignore them like I have with my parents. Its sad that people cuss period it says alot about their lack of morals and character.

Those words have come out of my mouth. I am not proud of it. There was a time in my life where it did not bother me to say it. I try not to say it now. It does shock people.

Words are only words, people put too much power in them.

Although I am not a Christian, I refrain from saying it. I think its out of respect for my mom. She doesn't like hearing it.

It sounds better than the "F" word and since it only calling on an imaginary figure to do an imaginary thing, so what.

It probably has more to do with where you live. Both my boyfriend and I say it and it's no big deal. I haven't gotten anyone shouting "Don't take the lord's name in vain!" at me yet.
