Sweetie, by all means, don't be self conscious about your natural hair texture. Nappy hair is not bad. If you don't obsess over brushing, straightening or "relaxing" it, it stays in your head. (Thank goodness thicker hair textures bald less). Overbrushing and overcombing thick hair makes it frizzy. Treat your hair gently. Accept your hair for what it is.
No matter how hard you try, you can't magically change your hair texture by simply brushing out the naps. At the end of the day, your hair is yours. Treasure it. Save yourself the frustration and rock some other styles that don't require a lot of maintenace.
Give your natural hair a lovely rest and try other styling options. There are so many hair styling options out there. If you want to achieve a straight, sleek look, wear a weave (human hair, since plastic can get matted easily). Don't fight with your hair. Embrace it. Have our natural hair cornrowed underneath and then sewn in (not tightly, or else it can cut through you hair). If your weave is properly done, you can avoid overbrushing or overprocessing your natural hair and it has potential to grow. There are also braids, cornrows and extensions.
Luv,

I don't think that you should try and straighten your hair. Just let your hair be natural and do it's own thing. Make sure you wash and condition it and also you may want to use a leave in conditioner if you hair is that unmanagable. (Ojon works great) Then brush it daily and braid, wear up or style how you want. Also the more youd o this and stop trying to make your hair straight, the more managable it will be.
Try it!

Sometimes hair damage is caused by your shampoo and conditioner. Also hair rubber bands can cause split ends which sometimes lead to "nappiness!" I don't know if you know this, but your hairbrish makes your hair frizzy and damaged if you do not "brush right!"

Try deep conditioning with Mayonnaise-dab on and ork through hair until totally covered -wrap in saran wrap or foil then for abput 5min. heat (careful you dont not get too hot)for it opens hair follicles so it penetrates instead of just sitting ontop of hair shaft after 15 minutes rinse out with very warm water. should make hair soft. As a daily hairdressing use a bit of olive oil. for it softens and conditions hair

You need to straighten it with heat. Get an electric flat iron, or have it professionally straightened. But I seriously doubt that you know what "nappy" means.
