The correct spelling for that is nabotHian cyst if you have been trying to search for info on it. It is a fluid filled cyst on your cervix which your GYN probably saw during your yearly exam. (You can also probably feel it yourself if you insert your finger into your vagina and feel the surface of your cervix.) They are pretty much a variation on normal. They are not a risk for cervical cancer or any other disorder. They are not a sexually transmitted problem, nor are they contageous. In most cases no treatement is needed. If a woman has a huge amount of them or they become so big that they cause problems (again very rare) they can be removed. Nabothian cysts are basically non-problems, so don't worry about it, but of course continue having your yearly GYN exam. Here is a link: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001514.htm

It is a retention cyst that develops when a mucous gland of the cervix uteri (the lower part of the uterus extending from the isthmus of the uterus into the vagina) is obstructed. It is of no pathologic significance.
