I want to have emo hair, but i dont want to have a sticky feeling on my head and face if it gets hot, and i also want to still be able to wash my hair everyday. i take pride in my hair! im not really emo, but i like some of their music and their hair. and dont go putting any answers on here insulting emo people, cuz you should be respectful. well, you can keep it relatively short, like a 3 or 4 all around your head, but grow out your bang area and comb it to the front and sweep it to the side... if your hair is naturally straight, you wont need gel. this is a half preppy- half emo look.

unfortunately that is not a very versatile hair cut. i had mine like that for quite a while and just about the only thing you can do besides what is in the pic is to pull it back in various ways. you could curl it and do a messy bun, you could tease the top and put i t in a ponytail clipping back the front....thats about all i can think of though.

all the emo people i know have dark hair that covers their face. i dont know any that use gel.

my brother has that style and the way i cut and texture his hair he needs only water to style it and it stays all day so a good texturing job should do the trick
