call and tell them you found a better job. No one can hold it against you for wanting to better your own life.

If the better job is a definite thing then call the 1st job and tell them that you are sorry but you had a better offer.
They wont get mad, its not a big deal and happens all the time.
Its better to call then to just not show up. Calling may not be the easiest thing to do but its the right thing to do.

Call right away. It's better than to wait and lead the people on, making them believe they have someone for the job when they don't. Go ahead and tell them, and they shouldn't get mad. It probably happens a lot.

You make sure you absolutely have the other job...like go to their orientation and go to work. Then you write the other folks and simply tell them that you waited and waited, but had to get a job and couldn't wait any longer for them to call you in for orientation.

I would secure the new job first and then call the first one and tell them that you were forced to change your mind due to their lack of urgency in calling you promptly for the orientation. If their general attitude is like that toward new employee, they probably do worse with old employees. Good luck!

No Michael, remember employment is at will. They took too long and that was not your mistake, you needed a job and you got it.
You do not have to call them but when they d call you tell them that you have accepted another offer that was more appealing and which is more in you career path. Thank them, don;t be rude, it's a small world.
Good luck.

Go for the job that want's you to go to the orientation, because appearantly that other job isn't too worried...they can't tell you that they are mad, cuz you don't work for them yet! Also, the other company evidently cares cuz they want to show you some valuable things...so go! Good Luck & God Bless

carry on with the first orientation. Make sure you actually get the better job before you burn the bridge to the first one.

Call them and tell them you accepted another offer as soon as possible so they can call the next guy and schedule him. No one is going to get mad- it's just business. But if you don't call, you'll look unprofessional.

if you already signed a contract you would be quitting that job. there is probably something in your contract about you not looking for jobs while under contract with that company. you might have a problem if you take the better job.
