Hep A is transmitted through the fecal/oral route (poor handwashing, then transmitted through food preparation), Hep b is highly sexually transmitted (bodily fluids) and through blood to blood transmission. There is a vaccine for Hep A & B.
Hep C is transmitted by blood to blood transmission only, not through sex (unless there is an exchange of blood) and definitely not through poor hygiene.
There is no vaccine for Hep C. You can get tested for Hep A, B, and C. Some health dept's will test if you have risk factors. If you're not sure, get tested. There are no symptoms for hep c until the liver becomes so damaged it can't function properly, then the only treatment is a liver transplant. If it is caught before the liver is too damaged, then there is a treatment for it. Best wishes.

Hep A is transmitted through tainted food and water and there is actually a vaccine (Federal passed and regulated) for infants now. You may remember a few years back when people in the midwest ate tainted chives and some ended up dying from Hep A.
Hep B is passed through bodily fluids (mucus membranes like eyes, nasal passages, open wounds direct contact, sexual contact) and presents often with jaundice (yellowing of the eyes or skin). If you work in healthcare or with biohazzard materials you need to ask your employer about them paying for you to be vaccinated. Hep B immunizations are now a requirement of childhood immunizations for those under 18 years old.
Hep C is passed through food and improper handling of preparing food (lack of hygiene, not washing hands, etc). This can be passed to the consumer without them even knowing it!
Hope this helps! :)

hepatis a can be transmitted by eating raw seafood or fluid transmission with an infected person, hep B is usually transmitted via blood transfusion, contact with bodily fluid, and sexually through a carrier, either chronic or acute. Hep C is also transmitted via bodily fluid. There are no cures if you get infected, but you can prevent it by getting vacinated. All three decimate your liver in the long run, leading to hepatic carcinoma leading to liver failure and finally death. You can get tested for them by a simple blood test usually by your doctor testing for hepatic antibodies
