What shouold I include in a care package to my boyfriend at college?
My boyfriend is attending college 500 miles from home. He's been discouraged lately, and I would like to send him a care package to lift his spirits. But I need help deciding what to put in the package. Any ideas? College students- what would you want in a care package?

I think that sounds like a great idea, you sound like you care very much for him. First of all, I would include things that you both associate with each other (just little things.) Say, if you both liked eating oreos together and have memories with that, ship him a box of oreos in it.. (and that was a corny example but I am hoping you are understanding what I'm getting at.) Aside from those things.. How about some CD's hes been wanting to buy (college students are low on cash most of the time) and then send some DVD's maybe.. whatever he likes.. comedy, horror, drama, war flicks, etc. and also there are some things at Wal mart that are cheap but may mean a lot.. How about some funny t-shirts to lift his spirits? What about some candy, or a dozen cookies. The possibilities are endless but just include things that mean a lot to you, and you think he would enjoy. I think he would be delighted to get anything in the mail.. and if it was from you.. it really wouldn't matter what's inside. Just think with the heart. Good luck to you! And sorry you have to be without your boyfriend for so long, sometimes love's like that.. but it sounds like you are making plenty of effort to keep things alive.

I was away at school and my husband sent me a dozen long stem roses when I passed a huge test. They arrived in a box.

For a guy though maybe a picture of you both or just you in a frame. How about a video tape he can play that you record for him. You could go around to his friends and family and ask them to give a short message or interview them about their funniest memories of him.

The usual chocolate or a cup and some cocoa with a bag of real mini marshmallows. And of course the panties you are wearing now if you two have been intimate.

I've done this a few times and I think it's so thoughtful of you to do something like this. Send him things he likes that he doesn't have away at school like snacks or something. A card and maybe pics of him and you or of his friends would put a smile on his face. It doesn't have to be big things, but small sentimental things. Other ideas could be little souvenirs of things you've done together like movie stubs, tix to a game you went to see, etc. Hope he likes it - and anything you put in it will make him feel better b/c it just shows how much you care about him.

My boyfriend is really far away as well and I was having the say problem with him feeling down and wanting to home so I sent him the simple things his favorite team snap back his favorite book his favorite flavor chewing gum. I send hygienic products ( you never go wrong with DOVE) nonperishable food items cash and a picture you never go wrong with that I love my boyfriend it doesn't take away the fact that you'll miss him but it makes you feel better knowing he doesn't need anything.

Depending on his likes, snacks, maybe tea. I like dried fruit. Things that travel well are good. Now if you want to send it overnight express, you can make him cookies. For Christmas one year someone gave me a 24 pack of AA batteries. You would be surprised how handy that could be. A flash light. His favorite toiletries. Gift certificates for chain stores like Target or Pizza Hut. Something that applies to his hobbies. If he likes to draw, a nice sketch pad and special pencils. A subscription to an interesting magazine. If he has a computer, an iTunes subscription or Napster subscription may be appreciated. If you can get with his family and make copies of family pictures. If he has to pay to wash his clothes, a roll of quarters. Be creative.

On the personal side:
make up some coupons that he can only redeem with you (kissing, a date..and you get the picture)

a picture or memorabilia of a place that you two have a fond memory of.

On the food side:
get gift cards for food and throw in some favorite snacks.
