Don't send a letter or go to Salt Lake City; it's a waste of your money right now. Go to the Yellow Pages and, under Churches, find "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the."
Make the phone call and arrange for the missionaries to come to your home and present the necessary lessons for your understanding. You don't pay for the Book of Mormon--it is free.
For your information, and contrary to what is said on this forum, the LDS Church uses the Bible and the Book of Mormon equally. Lucifer was born a spiritual child of God just as the Firstborn, Jesus Christ, and the rest of us were.
The church is not a cult as termed by the anti-Mormon crowd. We aren't suicidal, predict the end of the world, and force you to give up your money, your land, and your every possession. "By their fruits ye shall know them" is a biblical verse that rings true in the LDS church.
There are many antagonists who justify their condemnations of the church because they are either anti-Mormons or excommunicated Mormons. The remainder of the category falls within the ignorant, crass, and bigot crowd.

Call 1-800-645-4949 (in US and Canada only) and they will send missionaries to your home.
Or go to http://www.mormon.org/request/1,10161,1414-1--792,00.html
But don't contact them unless you are seriously interested. And if you do start meeting with them, you are not obligated to make a decision about joining in any particular time span. You could meet with them, from time to time, for a year or more. Don't join unless and until you are certain that it is all true, right and good. You can certainly learn a lot from the Mormons, no matter what you ultimately decide. Best wishes.

Send a letter to the closest temple to you, believe me they'll find you. Or send a request to Salt Lake City, Utah. Again they'll find you if you want to be found. Look them up on the internet. Heck if you're really serious go to Salt Lake. They'll baptise you right there. Oh and those of you who are just going to pick on the Mormons, grow up! Your religion has been attacked historically too, so don't have a double standard. I'm not LDS myself but I have plenty of friends and extended family who are. Show them the same respect you want.

Actually, I thought the same thing years ago and found out there were two within 30 minutes of the rural area where I lived. We have full time missionaries who will cover several lessons on our beliefs so you can explore our religion for yourself. We believe baptism is a commitment in which you take upon yourself the name of Christ, so it is important to understand the basics of the gospel first. This site will introduce you to some of those beliefs http://www.mormon.org/welcome/0,6929,403-1,00.html and you can locate a church in your area.

Praise God for small mercies that there isn't a Mormon church there. They are a false church and you want to look beyond the marketing hype and see what is going on in the REAL church!

Go to Mormon.org and then to "Worship with us." We have branches worldwide, so I'm sure you will be able to find a meeting place. We even have a devout little branch in Pakistan!
I'm glad you decided to come to church with us. There are a lot of false rumors circulating, but I'm sure as you learn more it will be obvious how unfounded they are.

If there aren't any Mormon churches where you are, how do you know any "cool" Mormons?
Faith in the Biblical Jesus is reasonable (and cool). Mormonism is not.

Put your car and your brain into "Neutral," and try to drive to the nearest Mormon church.

GET BACK TO ME AF THEE ARE FURTHER QUESTIONS.
