Ketchup, right?? Well maybe love is a bit strong, but most of us use ketchup from time to time. But my question is.......why doesn't it ever spoil?? It may start to look like barbecue sauce, but we never have to throw it out, because it is moldy or anything like that. I mean I know why it doesn't spoil (preservatives, apparently). But am I the only one who thinks there is something wrong with a food that we eat that never spoils. What do you think?????

ketchup will eventually go bad, once it hits that experation date, then its bad, but they do give it to you at fast food places in those little packets, and their always at room temperature, so it doesnt need to be refrigerated. but you will know when its bad, it will turn part water, and part ewwy, we had ketchup that was bad before. it all depends on how long it sits.

Ketchup (or catsup - yuk!) has sugar or corn syrup, vinegar and salt that help preserve it. But (and this is a big 'but'!) it also has chemical preservatives that, for me, put it in the 'mostly do not eat' list.
