Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior
Ask him to come into your heart, that you want to be born again by his spirit, that means you have a new life
old things have passed away and all things are made new
Good has nothing to do with it. We have all sinned and come short of his glory
Jesus said call no man good, except the Father in Heaven
We are all trying to make our way to Heaven.
1 John 2
1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world
If we mess up we get up and try again!
It is not by works, that is our goodness or what we think it to be,
It is by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and his righteousness
It is his righteousness not ours
We are just forgiven
Hope that helps

I do truly think that you do get to heaven by being a good person. But you must also have a belief if God. I do not believe there is fire and wrath and Satan. God loves us and if we are good here on earth and try to do good things for people and live a good life then Yes, we will pass on to heaven. Don't let all the freaky people scare you and say you must REPENT or you shall BURN..I don't buy it. Our God is a loving God and would not send us to burn just because we talked back to our mom one Sunday. Being a good person is where it begins.

Just how "good" do you think you would need to be in order to get into Heaven?
Remember, it is God's Heaven. And He is Holy, Righteous, Just.
Supposing that I am standing at Heaven's Gate and God asked "why should I allow you into My Heaven", I expect my reply would be something along the line of "Jesus paid it all".
It would be enough to be allowed to enter; though it would be nice also to hear "well done, thou good and faithful servant".

Not really, you have to get your Spirit Recreated.
Jesus said you Must be Born-Again.
That is what it means, the Holy Spirit Recreates the Spiritual Part of you.
Jesus is the Only One Who can Recreate you (Through the Holy Spirit).
Religions cannot Recreate you.
GOD (even though HE Loves you) can't let you Stay in Heaven unless you've been Saved---HIS Power, Flowing in an Unrecreated Spirit would cause it to Cease to Exist.

all good people go to heaven..but there are no 'good people' not by our own strength or nature
we are fallen broken people and the only one who lived a life worthy of heaven is Jesus Christ... however through the mercy of GOd He can make a trade, your sin for His righteousness
through His work on the cross. Then you are counted as if a good person and without sin, adopted as a child of God
and then can go to heaven... as a result of that grace you wouldchange and become more pleasing to God but its sitll by grace and then though HIs power and spirit you can have the fruit of the kingdom of heaven with God at the center of salvation
By his grace we are under renovation and become good but still always standing before Him by grace and only by grace

It depends on which religion you believe.
Judaism and Islam both believe that you have to follow the rules, and be happy about following the rules. In other words, you have to be a good person.
Christianity believes that you have to accept "salvation" through Jesus, and then want to live by the rules 'cause you love Jesus.
Hinduism and Buddhism believe that you are reincarnated, and if you're a really wonderful person then you simply stop being reincarnated. Their term is similar to blowing the flame out on a candle... you go to nothingness, or "nirvana".
Atheists believe that when you're dead, you're dead.
So, you tell me what religion you belong to, and I'll tell you how to get to heaven (if that's an option in that religion).

Well.....I believe the bible. The bible tells us we are saved by grace, through faith, not by our works, that any man should boast. No one is saved based on what they do. That is because each person has sin, and the only thing that can erase that sin is the blood of Jesus Christ, spilled on the cross so long ago. If a person repents of their sin, and accepts Jesus as their savior, that is the only way anyone will get to heaven.

The Bible says that the only way to get to heaven is by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Ephesians 2:8-10
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Christians are meant to be good people and do good works but this does not get us to heaven. There is nothing we can do to earn a seat in heaven. We are saved by grace through faith. If we got what we deserved, we would all perish in hell. When we say we are "good" we are comparing ourselves to other people whom we call "bad." However, when God judges our actions and our intentions He compares us to Himself and when compared to His goodness we are all exposed as being worse than just bad.
