I'd try a number of things. First, make sure you're gently washing twice a day without fail. Proactiv or Acne Free can help. If that's not working well enough, I'd try some stress reduction. Check out THE RELAXATION RESPONSE by Herbert Benson. Then cut out certain foods completely (soda, cheap junk foods, processed foods) and switch to whole foods and lots of vegetables and fruits. Make sure you're exercising regularly too.

If all that doesn't work, maybe try a colon cleanse. I've heard that acne is a sign of inefficient colon activity, which a cleanse would remedy.

wash your face with Ivory soap three times a day. I will take awhile(a month or so) but you will see results. Or go see a dermatologist, stop using over the counter crap. Eat better, stop drinking pop, eating greasy foods and chocolate. I dont care what people say eating chocolate gave me zits. Drink water and have plenty of fruits and veggies, your diet is a huge reason why you break out. I had really bad acne in high school, but once i stopped using over the counter crap, and just used Ivory...i was cool. Occasional pimple or two but thats it.

For women, some types of birth control pills actually help clear mild to moderate acne. If that is not an option, try the techniques outlined on Acne.org. It certainly helped me but it takes about 6 months of dedication. You must follow the routine religiously even after you start to see results.

You should ask your doctor about a prescription cleanser, called Erythromycin pledgets. I used them after having acne for 6 years, I used it and my acne has went away just like that!

Ask around about a great plastic surgeon. They can do laser therapy. Or a dermatologist. I;m told plastic surgeons likely have more aesthetic value.

Go on Accutane. It cleared up my acne years ago. You will need to see a doctor and have it prescribed for you as it is some pretty serious stuff.
