Ok, I just barely started dating my best friend. We've been boyfriend/girlfriend for two weeks now but I feel weird. We were best friends for a year before that and I had only seen him like my own brother. And now that he's my boyfriend, it's hard for me to adjust to holding hands and stuff like that. We only hug and hold hands. And barely. But i know he loves me a lot anyways. but I wish i could feel more comfortable. to me it's weird because i always treated him, well...like a brother. and all this extra affection is making me uncomfortable. i like holding his hand, but ...that's about it lol
do you guys think it'll go away with time? is it normal?

Wait for a while...It takes time to adjust to a different atmosphere. Since you're so used to just hanging with him than being intimate, it's going to take some time for you and him to get used to it. Just hang on because it sounds like this relationship is going to be a good one. Good luck!!!

I've never had that problem but you should talk to him. If at the end of the conversation you just want to be friends he should understand that. If you want things to work out as a couple you both will need to adjust to the change of your friendship with one another.

Dating a boy, or becoming a couple with a boy you see as a "brother" to you isn't necessary. Just be friends. There's no need to start dating.

It probably will go away with time. It depends on if yall want to be boyfriend/girlfriend or not. Yall can make it work either way. Either way yall are still friends.

Give it time. Soon you will be holding other parts of him. Otherwise, you can just go back to being friends.

if he's always been your friend and you feel weird holding hands with him, you will probably feel even more awkward kissing him, etc. it wasnt meant to be. go find a guy who makes you wet.

Give it time, it will probably go away. And if it doesn't, then talk to him about it.
