Racism is a problem that causes discord in a society. As a result, some call it a "social disease". Islamic teachings likewise instructs Muslims to believe they are superior to others, in this case, the non-muslim/infidel/unbeliever/kafir or Dhimmis (see Wikipedia article below).
So whats the difference between believing someone is inferior to you because of their race or religion? Is there one? If there is not, could we also classify any belief that propogates this bigotry as a "social disease"?
FYI: I reject all religions, so if you wanna say "xianty is just like that too!!", and pass it of as a justification to muslims, feel free Einstein.
Dhimmis (non-muslims): Negative attitudes towards Dhimmis existed partly due to the "normal" feelings of a dominant group towards subject groups, partly due to the contempt Muslims have for those who they perceive have willfully chosen to refuse to refuse to accept the truth (convert to Islam) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhimmi

Believing one is superior to others is wrong and a "social disease" in itself, whatever the reason. No one is superior or inferior to anyone else for any reason.
A racist is no different than a religionist - or someone who is prejudice about age, orientation, wealth, etc. Feeling superior to others has nothing to do with any of these things deep down. All of these things are of the same social disease.
Everyone is human. Before you can classify anyone according to their age, race, religion, gender, orientation, etc., before any of that, EVERYONE is HUMAN. I think if more people recognized that, and saw everyone in the world as human first and foremost, the world would be much better off.

Bigotry, is all the same. It is one of these most evil qualities in a human being, but it is a quality that we all have in some form or fashion. That is why it is so easy to see that Christianity is so man made. In science you will find that there is no bigotry, it is straight up, this is the way it is based on the data that I have. Religion, especially Christianity, is complete fabrication. I know this because it is the epitome of human nature, it needles in on bigotry. Believe me or go to hell. This is not the work of a spiritual God, this is the work of hateful men. If you do your research you will see as history goes on, religion gets more and more hateful. This is totally mans construct nothing more, if God exist, I can only think that he would not be that hateful.

A belief in racial superiority was a precursor to the Holocaust. A belief in religious superiority is historically know as the Crusades.
Fear of another race, culture, or religion is the predictor of anxiety; resulting in outward actions against what one fears, often resulting in armed defense: War!
Head-hunter tribes living in the jungles of the Amazon fervently believe in their right to protect and preserve their culture. When your head is on their chopping block, will you preserve their rights?

race. i belive in an absolute and therefore only 1 ONE religion is correct (i.e. the quran says anyone who worships Jesus isn't gunna make it to heavon and vise versa)
so, therefore it isn;t lieing to say that one religion is better than the other, if one is true and one is false. there is a lot of discrepancy of which religion is better but that's not the question here.
also, a race cannot protect someone, whereas a muslim may tink that allah will protect them if they are pursecuted,
in addition, race isn't somthing a person chooses, however, religion generally is.

There is no difference. In fact, religion is a huge cause of racial bigotry, as far as I can see. Not just with the christers, but every faction of every religion.

Much of a muchness really. Both are as destructive as each other. I can't choose the lesser of two evils in this case.

I don't think one is worse than the other. It seems they both lead to the same thing.
