Not all dobermans are "brutal." Do you know from experience or are you just getting prepared? Most areas offer dog-training classes through pet stores. Try that. There's a great book out there by "the Dog Whisperer"...can't think of his name, but the book is excellent. Helped me a lot with my little ninja dog! :-)

First of all, a Doberman is NOT a brutal dog. And I was very suprised when you compared him/her to one.
Training a dog is fairly easy if it's young. Sometimes the saying, "You can't teach a old dog a new trick," is true. If the dog is young, like a puppy to a 1 yr. old you are in luck.
When having a training period, try to make them everyday at the same time. And work with the dog everyday for about 30 min. If you keep at it for a long time, the dog will get tired, and very fustrated.
As the dog get's older, increase your training for about another 10 minutes.
When training it, DO NOT hit the dog. I've learned this is not the way. Firmly say, "NO," and let the dog know your disatisfaction. For example: Say your training it Sit. Gentley but firmly place the dog in a sitting postion and say Sit. Then, say Good Boy/Girl and give it a treat. Do that for a while and the dog will learn. But do not skip from sit, to lay down, to come. Make sure your dog knows sit, and can do it properley and surley without hestating. Then move to the next trick.
I hoped this helped and Good Luck!!!!

Are you saying you have a "brutal" dog (aggressive) that you want to train?
Or are you saying you want to train your dobi to be "brutal?"
The first one will take a lot of patience, dedication, and work, any may not get the absolute results you want. I would need more info about the dog.
The second: I don't believe in training dogs to be "brutal."

Uh, you didn't really give much information to go on.
Is that a dog you have or want to get?
Is it showing aggressive behavior or are you just (wrongly) assuming that all Dobermans are vicious?

whether you are starting from scratch or retraining you need as much information as possible and it needs to be breed specific. find a class, club etc and prepare for long hours that require plenty of patience. good luck
