5 yrs is too long involvement in chat... sounds so serious.. Of course being cheated is so painful...In net there is no assurance of reality to happen.. Its a gamble specially when you never met yet. You could do a lot of pretense in net. Me too, involved and had a special friend in net but never committed as lovers... I dont want to because of my many doubts.. It lasted for 6 months .. Its painful but that's part of our experiences....

How can there be cheating when there is no serious relationship to cheat against? Internet chat is so impersonal. Especially a five year chat.
