I have been feeling sad for a few days now but today was the worst, nothing seems to make me happy.

The problem with posting a note like this here is that no one has a really good take on what's going on. How old are you? Are you male or female? Are you eating properly? Do you have a history of feeling blue?

Poor nutrition or just forgetting to have a good meal can result in feeling down. Of course, some people over do it and find solace in lots and lots of food.

My suggestion is that you have a nice meal. Treat yourself to a dinner out, if you are capable of that. Call a friend and make a date to have a good work out or a long walk. Physical exercise will bump your endorphons, the true remedy in many cases.

If today was worse, maybe that's the end of it and you'll rise naturally to the light. Work out. Eat. Talk to a friend. All good ways to move forward.

good luck.

Imagine yourself as a little girl, asking big you the same question...what would you say to her? That it's OK to be sad for a while, that she is beautiful and special? Maybe you can mother and nurture the little sad girl in you by telling her all the good things she needs hear about how great she is....all the wisdom you need is in you. When I get sad days, I make time to snuggle up in bed, call it a treat, and give myself a mental cuddle.
You'll feel better soon, let yourself wallow and be thoughtful for now, and realise feeling like this will pass.

Go out and make somebody happy. A child, an old person that need a hug, a nice word, some food. Play with them and laugh a bit.
You will feel marvellous!
I´ll pray for you!

there are many reasons one can be feeling sad. the change in weather, death in family, stress etc... determin any factors in your increasing sadness and try to confront.

there are mild stress relievers/mood enhancors that can offer a temporary fix like tanning, food, shopping, alcohol, even people but if the problem isnt professionally dont, you can develope co-dependance and this can be very bad.

your best bet is to see a doctor, therapist, or social worker. they can asess the problem and give you more accurate advice

Run around the block a few times. Stop dwelling on your feelings. Read a good book instead.

Check your nutrition. Are you eating enough protein? If not, check out www.hufa.org to see what to do and why.
